Anyone can participate by simply sharing our business cards or forwarding one of our emails with your friends. Here’s how it works!

• Tell your friends to get a haircut, color, facial, waxing or other service on our menu this month.
• The person you refer must hold an appointment with us in March, AND
• tell us who referred them so we can give proper credit to you.

We will announce the March Kindle FIRE winner on April 3rd.  In case of a tie, we will conduct a random drawing. Winner will be notified and announced by email, phone call, and on our Facebook page.

March Madness Bracket Challenge Rules

You are invited to participate in the first ever, Bang Salon & Day Spa NCAA Men’s Basketball Bracket Challenge!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!

• Numbers are available NOW! First-come, first-served! Just 64 numbers are available. [See the field of teams]
• You can purchase 5 numbers max.
• Come to the salon and draw 1-5 random numbers from the hat. $5 each. Cash preferred.
• No refunds or exchanges.
• Brackets will be announced by the NCAA on 3/12. You will then have a team associated with your bracket position. That will be your team for the 2012 tournament.
• Numbers will be sold until Tuesday 3/13 at 7pm.
• Any unsold numbers will be considered HOUSE numbers. The salon will reuse any HOUSE winnings for future events.

BELOW ARE TWO OPPORTUNITIES!!!

OPPORTUNITY #1: Bang Salon & Day Spa is currently seeking one male and one female model.  We will be doing live makeovers at our booth during the Texas Stars Hockey game on 2/18. We may do one or more services including but not limited to hair cut, color, waxing, makeup and style, brow tinting.  There is no charge for this service.

Candidates MUST be willing to commit 100% to the following criteria:

• Be with us on location Saturday 2/18 from 5pm-10pm in Cedar Park
• Be open to a total new look
• Male: Must have longish hair and willing to go short and possibly color
• Female: Must have shoulder length hair and be open to change both style and color
• Sign our model waiver
• Before/After photos will be used for promotional purposes

To be considered for OPPORTUNITY#1, post a current photo of yourself (shoulders up) to our facebook wall.  Include why you wish to be made over!  Any inappropriate photos will be deleted and disqualified. We will communicate with you and announce models and subs through facebook.

The Stars will be videoing our booth to reveal the before/after transformation and showing it on the jumbotron.  We may do one or more services including but not limited to hair cut, color, waxing, makeup and style, brow tinting.  There is no charge for this service.

New Look? Ask Your Stylist!

So you’re thinking of changing your look for the New Year by adding color?  We’re here to help you make the leap, but before we get started here are a few questions you might consider asking your stylist:

1. How much maintenance will my new look require?
Coloring your hair requires regular maintenance to keep it looking great.  If you aren’t able to commit to a salon visit every 4-6 weeks, discuss this with your colorist. They can help you determine the appropriate routine that will fit into your life.

2. What will this cost?
Feel free to ask up front how much your new hair color is going to cost. If it’s over your budget, say so. Your stylist may be able to modify your service to fit your budget. (Ex: sometimes a few highlights create enough dimension without doing a full foil service).

3. What take home products will be required?
Professional products are recommended for professional results.  These products are formulated to combat fading and dulling caused by all types of environmental elements, not just another way to sell you something.  You will use some kind of shampoo, conditioner and at least one styling product anyway.  Your stylist can recommend the ones best suited for your new look.  If you are investing in a new professional color, it only makes sense that you use products to insure your investment for as long as possible.

Helpful hints:
Coloring your hair doesn’t have to be drastic like the picture above left. Sometimes just an all over color glaze, a shade darker or lighter than your natural color, can be enough to enhance your overall look.  Just keep in mind that the further away you get from ‘what God gave ya’, the more maintenance and expense.  Talk to your stylist.

Pictures are helpful when trying to describe your new cut or color goal to your stylist.  We, as stylists, have our own language and sometimes it may sound like a foreign language to you.  Have a picture handy, especially if you want something specific.  While we all know Jennifer Aniston’s hair is common fodder for most celebrity magazines, her color can vary from photo to photo due to photography, lighting and print production.  Clip your favorite and bring it with you.

Using food like pasta to describe the thickness of your desired highlights can help your stylist understand what ‘chunky’ means to you.  Will you have ‘angelhair’ or ‘linguini’?
